ST. PETERSBURG TO MOSCOW

Day 1 | St. Petersburg, Russia. Welcome! A Scenic Tours representative will greet you and arrange your transfer to your ship where you will be warmly invited on board by your dedicated crew. (D)

Day 2 | St. Petersburg. Start your day with an Included tour seeing all the major sights, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon choose from the following SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) enjoy a guided visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral; or (2) tour the 19th century Yusupov Palace. (FB,L,D)

Day 3 | St. Petersburg. Your day starts with a visit to the magnificent summer residence of Russian royalty at Peterhof. Choose from one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) enjoy a guided tour of Catherine’s Block and the fountains in the Lower Garden; or (2) an orientation tour of the Grand Palace, followed by a walk through its magnificent Gardens; or (3) a guided tour of the Palaces’ majestic Fountains, including both the Upper and Lower Gardens. This afternoon you’ll visit the Hermitage, formerly the Winter Palace and home of the Tsars. Today it houses one of the world’s greatest art collections. Tonight celebrate with your fellow travellers at the Captain’s Welcome Dinner. (FB,L,D)

Day 4 | St. Petersburg. This morning visit Catherine’s Palace, famous for its grandiose white and gold façade and elaborate gardens. SCENIC ENRICH: Enjoy a highlight lunch at the old-world wooden ‘Podvorie’ restaurant. Here you will be offered traditional Russian cuisine with all products and wine home-grown from the restaurant owner’s private summer residence. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure. SCENIC ENRICH: Tonight you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine followed by a private Russian ballet concert at the Palace of Prince Vladimir. The Palace was the last Imperial palace to be built in St. Petersburg. (FB,L,D)

Day 5 | St. Petersburg. Commonly known as the 'Venice of the North' St. Petersburg lies on the River Neva and is home to 18th century palaces, towering cathedrals and churches. This morning we'll enjoy a cruise through the city's canals and glide under some of the city's 400 bridges, while admiring historic monuments and landmarks. This evening join your fellow guests on the sun deck as your ship sets sail along the Neva River. (FB,L,D)

Day 6 | Mandrogi. Your ship arrives in the museum village of Mandrogi, on the bank of the river Svir, a majestic river running from Lake Ladoga to Lake Onega. SCENIC ENRICH: It’s all ashore to explore this charming summer resort, reconstructed after WWII. You will have the opportunity to try Shashlik, a traditional meal similar to shish kebab. (FB,L,D)

Day 7 | Kizhi Island. This morning your ship docks at Kizhi Island; the island hosts some of Russia’s most amazing wooden architecture. You’ll visit this open air museum and its precious collection of wooden churches and chapels. You’ll also view the Church of Transfiguration with its 22 timbered onion domes. (FB,L,D)

Day 8 | Goritsy. Today we visit the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery, built in 1397 and home to an impressive collection of Russian Orthodox icons. As the ship sets sail this afternoon, sample the beverage that has been integral to Russian culture for over 600 years, vodka. (FB,L,D)

Day 9 | Yaroslavl. Today enjoy an Included guided tour of the magnificent city of Yaroslavl; founded in 1010 it is older than Moscow. (FB,L,D)

Day 10 | Uglich. Take an Included walking tour of historic Uglich, part of the Golden Ring of cities around Moscow. (FB,L,D)

Day 11 | Moscow. Relax on board as you sail towards Moscow. Arriving after lunch, you’ll set out on a city exploration. We will visit Red Square and enjoy a tour of the most well-known icon in Russia, St. Basil’s Cathedral. (FB,L,D)

Day 12 | Moscow. Start your day by choosing from one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) take a guided tour, seeing Tverskaya Street and the KGB building; or (2) enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Moskva River, where you can admire the Moscow sites and fine architecture from the waterways. After lunch in a local restaurant, enjoy a ride on Moscow’s Metro – considered one of the best subway systems in the world. Tonight you’ll attend an internationally renowned Circus. (FB,L,D)

Day 13 | Moscow. Your day starts with a visit to the Kremlin, seat of the former Soviet Union’s intrigue. In the State Armory, you’ll see priceless weaponry, jewels, and ceremonial robes. After your tour enjoy free time to explore the bustling city of Moscow on your own or return to the ship. This evening you’ll witness a thrilling National Russian Show performed by fifty folk dancers (not available on all departures). (FB,L,D)

Day 14 | Moscow. Today choose from the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) visit the State Tretyakov gallery, a world-famous museum housing a unique collection of Russian art which includes masterpieces created more than a thousand years ago; or (2) visit the Museum of the Armed Forces, where you will have an opportunity to see a vast collection of Russian military memorabilia, and displays relating to the Soviet Union's part in WWII. SCENIC ENRICH: This afternoon visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. Here you will have the opportunity to meet with a real cosmonaut and see the history of space exploration, including original exhibits and models of space technology, history and art. (FB,L,D)

Day 15 | Moscow. After breakfast this morning it is time to farewell your fellow guests and disembark the cruise. Your Scenic Tours Representative will take* you to the airport. (FB)
